Vintage 1940's USN N-1 Stenciled/Painted Deck Jacket

40's Vintage USN N-1 Deck Jacket
Developed in 1944 for the US Navy

Tagged size 38, approx measurements are;

Pit to Pit - 21.75""
Pit to Cuff - 22.75"
Back Length - 26.75"

U.S.N. stencil to chest
'TRENT' name stencilled on the inside of the jacket, and to the bottom of back
'OKINAWA' painted to the rear of the jacket

Super hardwearing outer made of densely woven Bedford Cord style fabric (referred to as Jungle Cloth)
Alpaca lined making it extremely warm, inside tag can still be seen
Alpaca collar with button chin strap, one of small buttons missing (could be swapped to other side so chin strap can be used)
Knitted cuffs keep wind out and the warmth in
Gusseted underarms with eyelets for ventilation
Talon zipper, no longer works which is usually the case on these
Can be fastened up using the buttons, bottom one missing

Super high quality, made in the US jacket
Hard to find a better jacket to keep out the cold/wind all these years later
Has some marks/holes as expected for this age which all add to the character
